Pearl River & Old Tappan Drill
Monday June 24th, Pearl River & Old Tappan Firefighters conducted a join extrication drill at the Old Tappan Fire Headquarters. Member’s used the Hurst eDraulic tools for a mock extrication.
Truck Operations Class
Saturday June 22nd, Pearl River Hook & Ladder conducted a Truck Operations Class with PL Vulcan Fire Training. Members spent time training on Tower Ladder / Aerial operations with our two aerial trucks.

Update: 1750’s New Home
As of Dec 16th 2018, our Rescue Engine (12-1750) was sold to the Keyser FD in West Virginia. Although she served the Pearl River community since 1995, over 23 years! She has currently been retrofitted to meet the needs of the Keyser FD. The Chief of the Keyser FD extended his gratitude and thanks! We hope she serves the Keyser community for many years to come.
Extrication Drill @ RCFTC
On May 16th, Members attended extrication training at the Rockland County Fire Training Center. All members refreshed their techniques and reviewed proper protocol.
Structure Fire: 14 Warrant Officer Bauer Lane
On April 20th, at approximately 8:30 P.M. the Pearl River Fire Department was dispatched to a Basement Fire at 14 Warrant Officer Bauer Lane. 12-4-1, was the first to arrived on scene and confirmed an active fire in the basement. The crew from 12-78 assisted in a search of the home and provided ventilation after the fire was extinguished.

Structure Fire: 173 W. Washington Ave.
On April 17th,at approximately 12:30 P.M. the Pearl River and Nanuet Fire Departments were dispatched for a report of a structure fire at 173 West Washington Ave in Pearl River. Heavy fire was reported via numerous 911 calls. Nanuet’s Chief was the first to arrive and confirmed the active fire. The main body of fire was located in a attached garage which had auto exposed to the eves of the main house. Pearl River FD and Mutual aid companies made quick work of the fire.
