Structure Fire: Mutual Aid To New City

On Monday morning the New City Fire Department was dispatched to the vicinity of Philips Hill Road for an outside smoke condition. Upon arrival of New City’s Chief advised fire control of a working fire. Multiple fire companies were called to the scene for extra manpower. New City FD requested Pearl River’s FAST (Firefighter’s Search and Assist Team) to the scene. 

NJ / NY Firemen's Association 100th Anniversary Parade

On June 8th the Pearl River and Montvale Fire Department’s hosted the New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen's Association 100th Anniversary Parade. The parade started on Central Avenue in Pearl River and ended at the Montvale Firehouse. About thirty fire companies and sixty fire apparatus were included in the parade. Congratulations to the Nanuet Fire Department who won best overall. 

MVA / HAZMAT (180 E. Crooked Hill Road)

On Friday June 21st, the Pearl River Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident / Hazmat incident at 180 East Crooked Hill Road. A dump truck traveling east on route 304 veered off the road and hit a telephone pole and a tree on Crooked Hill Road. Major damage occurred to the dump truck, the Rockland County Hazardous Materials Team was requested due to a leaking saddle tank.
